A fire at an airport hangar at the Clark Airfield in Justin destroyed two antique cars, among other things, the owner said.
The fire started around 4 a.m. in the north-most hangar at the airfield. No one was injured.
L.E. Clark, the owner of the hangar, lives next door and saw the flames early this morning.
"My wife woke me up, cat woke her up, she woke me up and said, 'the building's on fire,'" Clark said. "So I called 911, and came out here and oh, it was burning."
The entire hangar was destroyed including a Model T and a Model A antique car housed inside, Clark said. One had won a recent competition.
"Those cars were a treasure," said one neighbor out his car window as he was passing by.
Clark said he had pictures of the cars, but they were on his computer in his office, which also burned.
Firefighters were concerned about a nearby propane and gas tank, but were able to contain the blaze before it caught those on fire.
There is no estimate yet on damage, but Clark says he is insured.
Fire investigators don't yet know what started the fire.
